T-Box Viscosity

The T-Box Viscosity consists of a practical set-up and the associated E-learning. The practical set-up consists of three cylinders with lubricating oils and a clock. The purpose of this set-up is to get acquainted with the concept of viscosity.

With the T-Box Viscosity, the viscosity of various engine oils is demonstrated in a clear and understandable way through a combination of experiments and digital teaching units.

The T-Box Viscosity contains three cylinders, each containing three different motor oils with a steel ball and a stopwatch. By means of the greatly simplified ball drop test, the trainees recognize that the sink times vary for the same ball size. Furthermore, the influence of the fluid temperature on the viscosity can be shown, e.g. by body heat.
